ERM glossary

Risk owner

مالك الخطر الشخص المسؤول عن إدارة خطر معيّن.

A risk owner is the individual accountable for managing a specific risk — monitoring it, ensuring controls work, and driving treatment actions to closure.

Clear ownership is what makes a risk register more than a list. Owners are alerted when a key risk indicator breaches or an action falls overdue, under the accountability set by the three lines model.
