Risk tolerance

تحمّل المخاطر المدى المقبول للانحراف عن مستوى تقبّل المخاطر.

Risk tolerance is the acceptable range of variation around your risk appetite — the practical boundary a metric can move within before it demands attention.

Where appetite is a statement of intent, tolerance is the measurable limit: for example, 'service uptime must stay at or above 99.5%'. Breaching it should trigger escalation, often tracked by a key risk indicator.
